Work & Projects
On any given week I might be working on something tied to the Grand Canyon, a museum, an archaeological site, a church, a research project, a tour, or some strange combination of all of them.
Most of it involves exploring, teaching, researching, writing, photographing, or helping people experience the places and subjects I care about.

ORGANIZATIONS
Organizations & Roles
GRAND CANYON • MINISTRY • FIELD TEACHING
Canyon Ministries
I serve as Director of Ministry Outreach with Canyon Ministries, a Grand Canyon-based Christian ministry founded in 1997. My work includes speaking, field teaching, ministry partnerships, outreach, and helping people engage the Canyon through both Scripture and the landscape itself. Much of that work grows out of years spent guiding, teaching, and developing educational experiences in Grand Canyon National Park.
RESEARCH • PUBLISHING • EDUCATION
Association for Biblical Science & Archaeology
ABSA brings together work in Scripture, archaeology, geology, paleontology, museum collections, historical records, publishing, media, and field research. I’m especially interested in connecting careful research with clear public teaching, using primary sources, artifacts, field observations, and museum material to help people understand the evidence for themselves rather than simply hearing conclusions secondhand.
INTERNATIONAL TOURS
Global Christian Tours
Global Christian Tours helps connect travelers with Christian tours that spend real time on history, archaeology, church history, Scripture, and the places being visited. I help develop the network, shape its editorial direction, and build resources that make it easier to find thoughtful, destination-based Christian travel without reducing the experience to a simple sightseeing itinerary.
ARCHAEOLOGY • HISTORY • COMMUNITY
Bible Digs
I lead Bible Digs Biblical Archaeology and Church History, a Facebook community of around 60,000 members. We share archaeological discoveries, museum objects, ancient history, biblical geography, and church history, while also talking through new finds as they appear and placing them into a larger historical context. It has become a useful meeting place for people who enjoy digging more deeply into the material behind the biblical world.
LONDON & EGYPT
London & Egypt
London and Egypt are the two international destinations where I’m most directly involved in building and leading the tours.

London Christian Tours
I lead small groups through London and England with a strong focus on Christian history, biblical manuscripts, museums, archaeology, church history, and the people behind the places.
The groups stay small on purpose. It gives us time to stop, ask questions, and actually use the churches, streets, museums, manuscripts, and historic sites as part of the teaching instead of racing through a checklist.

Egypt Christian Tours
In Egypt I teach ancient Egyptian history, archaeology, biblical history, geology, temples, inscriptions, museums, and the geography behind the biblical story while we travel through the country.
I want the archaeology, geography, artifacts, and history to make sense while we’re actually standing there. The museums, temples, inscriptions, and archaeological landscapes are not background scenery—they’re the reason we’re there.

GRAND CANYON
Where the field-teaching approach started
A lot of the way I teach while traveling was shaped at Grand Canyon. After more than 1,200 days guiding and teaching there, including more than 50 multi-day river expeditions, I’ve learned that people remember more when they can see the rocks, trails, fossils, landscapes, artifacts, and historic places for themselves.

RESEARCH • MEDIA • EDUCATION
Research, media & other projects
Alongside guiding and travel, I’m usually working on some mix of research, books, articles, video, photography, museum teaching, 3D models, and other projects connected with the places and subjects I study.
COLLABORATION
Work with me
I’m always interested in hearing about speaking, tours, museum projects, field research, archaeology, geology, photography, interviews, publishing, and other projects that fit my experience.
