I spend a lot of my life in places where geology, archaeology, history, Scripture, and stories meet—Grand Canyon river camps, museum galleries, ancient Egyptian temples, London streets, archaeological sites, classrooms, and churches.

ABOUT MY WORK
Teaching through exploration.
I’m an adventure guide, speaker, researcher, writer, and photographer. Much of what I do involves traveling to incredible places shaped by history and nature, bringing people along for the journey, and helping them understand what they’re seeing.
The Grand Canyon and other national parks have been some of my greatest classrooms. Egypt, England, archaeological sites, museums, and historic places around the world have become others. I’m happiest exploring the amazing world God has given us and helping others experience, understand, and appreciate it along the way.

Grand Canyon and beyond
I’ve spent more than 1,200 days guiding and teaching in Grand Canyon National Park, led more than 50 multi-day river expeditions, and taught in national parks, museums, archaeological sites, churches, and historic places around the world.

I speak at churches, conferences, classrooms, museums, and podcasts on science, ancient history, apologetics, and the historical setting of Scripture.
