Photography
Photography from the Grand Canyon, Egypt, London, museums, archaeological sites, rivers, deserts, wildlife, and whatever else was worth stopping for.
Photography grew naturally out of guiding and travel. I was already standing in remarkable places and teaching about what I saw, so carrying a camera became another way of recording the landscape, object, moment, or detail that made the place memorable.
Over the years, a number of these photographs have found their way into books, classrooms, websites, films, and other projects. I mostly keep the archive public because I like seeing the images be useful beyond the moment when I took them.

USE & ATTRIBUTION
Using my photographs
I’ve made a lot of my travel and landscape photography available under Creative Commons licenses. If you want to use a photo, the Flickr page for that image is the place to check the current license.
Before using an image, open it on Flickr, confirm the Creative Commons license shown there, and follow the required attribution terms for that photograph.
Over the years those images have ended up in books, articles, classrooms, ministry projects, films, websites, and plenty of places I never expected when I took them.
